Question

How does PINNIX Light differ from other lancets on the market?

Answer

PINNIX Light is unique in that it simulates the shape of a mosquito’s proboscis, so there is very little pain when the incision is made.
Also, the incision itself is a straight line, and so can be expected to heal quickly.
Please click here for a more detailed explanation of the differences between PINNIX Light and other lancet products.

Question

Can a resin needle really pierce human skin?

Answer

PINNIX Light is strong enough to pierce human skin.
We have confirmed this through extensive tests using silicon rubber (with hardness equivalent to human skin), under the same conditions as a metal needle.

Question

Is there any risk that the needle will bend and break, and be left inside the body after it pierces the skin?

Answer

The resin needle will not break when bent.
One might imagine that resin (plastic) is brittle, and so would break when bent, but the needle of PINNIX Light is flexible, like a nylon thread, and will not break even if it is bent dozens of times.

Question

Does it really not hurt very much?

Answer

The sensation of pain differs from one person to the next, so we cannot speak for everyone, but because of the small contact area on the skin or the finger tissue when the incision is made, the damage to the tissue is minimal, so the pain will likely be less as well.
Please click here for a detailed explanation of how the needle punctures the finger tissue.

Question

Does the incision really heal easily?

Answer

The scar left when a conventional lancet needle punctures the skin is round, but the scar left by PINNIX Light is a straight line.
This straight incision, with a small area, means that the scar can be expected to heal quickly. (痛みが少なく、治りやすい理由

Question

Why is the needle made from resin?

Answer

By using plant-based resin as the raw material for the needle, we have created a needle with outstanding flexibility, and which has minimal effects on the human body. This plant-based resin is biodegradable, and is already used in the front lines of healthcare. It is also ideal for patients with metal allergies.

Isn’t the package difficult to open?

Question

Does the needle ever come out and puncture the bag when you are opening it?

Answer

The needle is locked firmly inside of its case, so you do not need to be concerned that it will open before use. Even if you did touch the needle accidentally, it would not cause any injury, because it is made of flexible resin.(Please click here for further information on individual packaging, and click here for information on the structure of the needle.)

Question
