How does PINNIX Light differ from other lancets on the market?
PINNIX Light is unique in that the shape of the needle tip mimics a mosquito’s needle.

PINNIX Light has the strength to pierce human skin.
We have confirmed this through extensive tests using silicon rubber (with hardness equivalent to human skin), under the same conditions as a metal needle.(Self-certification, based on Lightnix data)Is there any risk that the needle will bend and break, and be left inside the body after it pierces the skin?
The resin needle will not break when bent.
One might imagine that resin (plastic) is brittle, and so would break when bent, but the needle of PINNIX Light is flexible, like a nylon thread, and will not break even if it is bent dozens of times.(Self-certification, based on Lightnix data)Does it really not hurt very much?
The sensation of pain differs from one person to the next, so we cannot speak for everyone, but because of the small contact area on the skin or the finger tissue when the incision is made, the damage to the tissue is minimal.
Please click here for a detailed explanation of how the needle punctures the finger tissue.(Self-certification, based on Lightnix data)Does the incision really heal easily?
The scar left when a conventional lancet needle punctures the skin is round, but the scar left by PINNIX Light is a straight line.
It has been confirmed that the needle leaves only a small incision scar.(Self-certification, based on Lightnix data)Why is the needle made from resin?
By using plant-based resin as the raw material for the needle, we have created a needle with outstanding flexibility, and which has minimal effects on the human body. This plant-based resin is biodegradable, and is already used in the front lines of healthcare.
What is the advantage of individual packaging?

Please click here for further details on how to use PINNIX Light.Isn’t the package difficult to open?
We adopted a package design that makes it easy to find the opening. It has an “easy peel” structure, so the package opens very easily, even with a small amount of force. Please click here to see how to open the package.
Does the needle ever come out and puncture the bag when you are opening it?
The needle is locked firmly inside of its case, so you do not need to be concerned that it will open before use. Even if you did touch the needle accidentally, it would not cause any injury, because it is made of flexible resin.(Please click here for further information on individual packaging, and click here for information on the structure of the needle.)
Can the device be disposed of as regular trash?
According to current regulations in Japan, this device cannot be disposed of as regular trash.
Because it is made of plant-based resin, it is burnable, and so may be handled as regular trash in the future.
