Lightnix, Inc. is a venture company that was established in 2002 to develop medical devices that are both human friendly and environment friendly.
After a period of research and development that lasted 10 years, in 2012, Lightnix developed the world’s first plant-based resin lancet needle.
After receiving approval from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, it began sales of a lancet needle produced in Japan, using only Japanese materials.
Simulating the shape of a mosquito’s proboscis, the needle is designed to make a very small incision, resulting in very little pain.
We plan to apply this technology in other areas as well, including the development of transdermal vaccines.
